However, it began raining soon, playing spoilsport to the excitement at the Narendra Modi Stadium. PBKS players have been on and off the field during the rain interruption as they remain optimistic about the match's resumption.

Who will qualify for the final if the PBKS vs MI Qualifier 2 is washed out?

If the match is either washed out or abandoned before each team plays 5 overs, PBKS will go through to the final and face RCB on June 3. This is courtesy of them finishing higher than MI on the points table after the league stage.

As per the playing conditions for the playoffs, there is an additional 120 minutes added to the stipulated playing time.

However, if the rain does not stop or if there is a wet outfield and umpires feel that the ground does not ensure players' safety, the match will be abandoned.

Even if the game is started, the teams need to play at least 5 overs each for us to get a result in the match via the Duckworth-Lewis calculations.
