End of match: GT won by 3 wickets
What a thrilling contest we have witnessed at the Wankhede! Gujarat Titans have pulled off a stunning last-ball win. Needing 15 off the final over, Arshad Khan held his nerve and scrambled a single off the last ball to seal victory. Heartbreak for Mumbai!
00:25 am: Game will restart at 12.30am. It will be a 19-over game. GT need 15 runs off the final over.
00:20 am: Covers coming off!
00:10 am: If the match is reduced to 19 overs due to rain, Gujarat Titans will need 147 runs to win.
End of 18 overs: GT- 132/6
Drama at Wankhede as heavy rain forces the players off the field with just two overs remaining. Gujarat Titans, chasing 156, find themselves at 132/6 after 18 overs- five runs behind the DLS par score.
GT had picked up pace in the middle overs thanks to a well-paced partnership between Gill and Buttler, but three quick wickets in the three consecutive overs dented their chase. Jasprit Bumrah has been the pick of the bowlers, finishing with excellent figures of 4-0-19-2.
With the cut-off time set at around 12:30 am, some time still remain to resume play. If no further play is possible, MI will win via DLS.
End of 10 overs: GT- 68/1
Excellent passage of play for Gujarat Titans as they step up the scoring between overs 7 to 10. After a quiet Powerplay, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler began to find their rhythm and punished the loose balls.
The momentum shifted significantly in the 8th over, when Hardik Pandya was taken apart for 18 runs. The Gill-Buttler partnership is now growing in confidence with both batters nearing 30 and looking well-set. In total, GT added 39 runs in the last 4 overs.
End of powerplay: GT- 29/1
After 6 overs, GT are 29 for 1. A slow and cautious start from Gujarat Titans in their chase of 156. They lost the in-form Sai Sudharsan early as he edged a beauty from Trent Boult in just the second over.
Since then, Shubman Gill and Jos Buttler have looked to steady the innings and played watchfully against the dangerous duo of Boult and Bumrah. With movement on offer and drizzle briefly threatening to interrupt, the Titans have been cautious.
End of innings: MI - 155/8
Mumbai finish their innings at 155 for the fall of 8 wickets. Corbin Bosch hit a few big shots in the end to take the score above 150. A below par score at the Wankhede as the MI bowlers have a job on their hands if they want to snatch a win from the Gujarat Titans.
GT need 156 to seal their qualification into the playoffs.
End of 15 overs: MI - 116/6
Mumbai have lost four quick wickets one after the other as the batters looked to accelerate their innings. It all started with Suryakumar Yadav falling cheaply at long off.
Will Jacks played well for his 53 before falling to Rashid Khan. Skipper Hardik Pandya played a loose shot as Gill took a nice running catch from the slips. Tilak Varma hasn't had a good season so far as he once again failed to score big.
Naman Dhir (2) and Corbin Bosch (2) will look to maximize the last 5 overs to post a fighting total for the Gujarat Titans.
End of 10 overs: MI - 89/2
Mumbai have settled pretty well after losing two quick wickets in the powerplay. Suryakumar Yadav and Will Jacks have built up a neat partnership here and will look to lay the foundation for the upcoming batters to come.
Gujarat have leaked too many runs on the field today and will look to improve on it.
End of powerplay: MI - 56/2
Mumbai have lost both their openers as both Rickelton and Rohit have departed for single-digit scores. Gujarat have been poor in the field as they have already dropped Will Jacks twice and Suryakumar Yadav once.
Jacks (30) and Yadav (16) will look to calm the nerves down and build up a partnership here.
7:33 pm: WICKET! Ryan Rickelton departs for 2 as Sai Sudharsan dives well to take a good catch at covers. Siraj strikes. MI - 2/1 after 0.2 overs.
7:30 pm: The game is underway in Mumbai! Ryan Rickelton takes strike. Mohammed Siraj will start the proceedings for Gujarat.
7:00 pm: TOSS! Gujarat have won the toss and have chosen to field first. Just one change for GT, Arshad Khan comes in for Washington Sundar.
6:30 pm: The toss is scheduled at 7:00 p.m. IST.
