Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) lock horns with the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 on Tuesday, May 3, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
The two teams faced off earlier in the Qualifier 1 match, where the Bengaluru-based franchise emerged victorious by 8 wickets to seal their place in the final after a wait of nine long years.
Punjab, on the other hand, bounced back from their earlier loss and defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) in the Eliminator to set up a rematch of the Qualifier that was played at Mullanpur.

This will be only the second time that Punjab will be seen featuring in an IPL Final after 2014, where they lost to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 3 wickets at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The side, led by the able Shreyas Iyer, has been a revelation this season as they have put in dominant displays throughout the tournament. PBKS will hope to end their trophy drought this year.

In their first and only attempt as of now, the Punjab Kings, led by the Australian legend George Bailey, faced the Kolkata Knight Riders under Gautam Gambhir's leadership.
Wriddhiman Saha was the highest scorer for his team and in the overall match too, as he scored a brilliant 115 off just 55 deliveries.
