RCB have had a dream run so far. With 16 points from 11 matches, they’re tied with Gujarat Titans at the top. However, they’re slightly behind on net run rate.
For them, a win in this match would not only seal a playoff spot but also boost their chances of finishing in the top two.
KKR's playoff hopes, meanwhile, are hanging on by a thread. They’ve collected just 11 points from 12 games. A loss or even a washout could push them out of the race altogether. This game could be their last real opportunity to stay in the hunt.
Fans hoping for a thrilling contest at the Chinnaswamy Stadium might be disappointed if the downpour doesn’t ease. The rain could seriously change the table.

RCB vs KKR: What happens if match is abandoned due to rain?
If the weather has its way and there’s no play, both teams will get one point each. Here’s what that would mean:
RCB would move up to 17 points. That wouldn’t hurt them too much. With two more matches to go, they'd still have control over their finish.
KKR, though, would be in deep trouble. A single point would only take them to 12, and with just one match left after this, their maximum would be 14. That might not be enough, especially with other teams also close to that mark.

What if RCB wins against KKR at Bengaluru?
If the skies clear and RCB get the job done, they'll jump to 18 points. That would take them to first place on the table ahead of the Gujarat Titans. A win would nearly guarantee them a spot in the playoffs and give them a strong shot at that top-two advantage.
What happens if KKR beat RCB at Benagluru?
If KKR manage to beat RCB, they’d rise to 13 points and will be there in the playoff race. With one match left, they’d still have a route to 15 points and while that’s not a guaranteed ticket to the top four, it definitely keeps them alive.
However, the net run rate will come into play. KKR's current NRR is +0.193, which is decent, but they would ideally want a big win to give themselves an edge if things come down to tiebreakers.
