Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) skipper Rishabh Pant has failed miserably this season as he again departed for a single-digit score in match no. 61 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at Ardonamau in Lucknow.
Pant was made the highest-paid player in the history of the Indian Premier League, as the Lucknow Super Giants acquired his services for a mammoth 27 crores in the mega auction held in Jeddah last year.
Expectations were sky-high for the wicketkeeper batsman as LSG handed him the leadership of the team with a vision of at least qualifying for the playoffs this season.

However, Pant has misfired throughout the season as he saw his team slump to a seventh defeat of the season, that too at home, therefore failing to qualify for the playoffs this time around too.
Many feel that Pant couldn't justify his price tag, as he failed miserably in almost all of the matches this season either with the bat or with his on field-decisions.
