End of match: RR win by 8 wickets
Rajasthan Royals have chased down Gujarat Titans' 209 in just 15.5 overs in Jaipur - thanks to a historic night from 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The young sensation smashed 101 runs off just 38 balls.
He hit 11 sixes - the most by an Indian in an IPL innings. His fearless batting left even the best bowlers helpless as RR cruised to a huge win with 25 balls to spare.
Yashasvi Jaiswal played a steady hand too - staying unbeaten on 70 off 40 balls.
Suryavanshi’s innings had everything - raw power, fearless hitting and pure joy. He became the second-fastest to score a century in IPL history and the youngest to do so by a huge margin.
The whole stadium rose to applaud him when he got out and even the opposition lined up to shake his hand. This was a night when a teenager took on seasoned pros - and won in style.
End of first innings: GT 209/4
Gujarat Titans have posted a big total of 209/4, the first 200+ score at this venue since 2024. This is also the third highest total at Jaipur.
Their innings was built on a brilliant foundation laid by the openers. Shubman Gill played a fantastic knock, scoring 84 off just 44 balls. Sai Sudharsan supported him well with a steady 39.
After Sudharsan fell, Jos Buttler came in and wasted no time as he blasted a 26-ball fifty and staying unbeaten till the end to finish things off in style. It’s a strong total. Let’s see how RR responds back.
End of 10 overs: GT 92/0
Gujarat Titans are going strong at 92/0 after 10 overs. They have added 39 runs in the last 4 overs, which is an excellent scoring rate during the middle overs.
Shubman Gill has brought up his fifty and is batting on 51 off 31 balls, while Sai Sudharsan is also looking solid with 39 off 29. The openers have kept the momentum going and set up a great platform for a big total
End of 6 overs: GT 53/0
Another strong start for Gujarat Titans as they continue their consistent opening performances. Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill got off to a solid beginning with Sudharsan at 26 off 20 balls.
There was a bit of luck for Sudharsan as Hetmyer dropped him on 9 off Theekshana. Gill is also looking in good rhythm.
After 6 overs, GT is at 53 for no loss, with both openers looking set to accelerate further. This strong start is nothing new for GT who have made a habit of laying strong foundations in the powerplay.
