What did Stephen Fleming say about Chepauk pitch?

Stephen Fleming said that his team doesn’t have much control over the pitch conditions as each surface has its own unique characteristics. He stated that the team has to put in the effort from the start to assess the pitch and adapt accordingly.

"We dont have much influence really on what comes up there. Each pitch has different characteristics so we will work hard from ball one to try and work out what we have," said Fleming.

Fleming also said that the squad has been built to perform well in all types of conditions as the tournament like IPL presents a variety of pitches.

"Our team is pretty well equipped for all conditions because that has been the key as we get range of condition here in this tournament," said Fleming.

"So we picked a versatile team. If wicket is flat, we got guys that are good at bowling in those conditions and if it does turn, then great. Sure we wont get the green seamer so other two is what we will look for," he added.
