Veteran Indian spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has joined an elite list of players as he picked up a hattrick against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Chepauk on Monday.

As Punjab Kings faced CSK in the 49th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season, Chahal bowled a brilliant 19th over that stopped the hosts from reaching 200 runs.

Chahal picked up a hat-trick in the 19th over of the match as he dismissed Deepak Hooda, Anshul Khamboj and Noor Ahmad to restrict CSK's score at 190 runs.
In the same over, after getting hit for a six, he dismissed the stand-in CSK captain, MS Dhoni, as he capped off his spell with the brilliant figures of 4/32 in his 3 overs.
Meanwhile, Chahal also entered the history books of the Indian T20 league as he came only the third bowler in the history of IPL to scalp multiple hat-tricks.
