As the runs dried up for him, the noise from the fans only got louder. Many had expected Pant to lead from the front in the massive 237-run chase.

But instead, his struggles with shot selection were on full display again. His innings barely got going.

How did Pant perform in the PBKS vs LSG match?

Pant came in to bat after an early collapse from LSG’s top order. The team was already in trouble, and fans hoped the skipper would steady things.

But Pant looked out of rhythm from the first few balls. He played out a cautious start and managed one clean hit, which was the only highlight of his knock.

He finally got out in the 8th over as he tried to go big off Azmatullah Omarzai. The bat slipped out of his hands, flying awkwardly, and the ball landed straight into the hands of a boundary fielder.

How did fans react after Pant's latest failure?

As soon as Pant got out, social media lit up with reactions. The criticism was not subtle. Many fans expressed disappointment and even labeled him “the worst player of the season.”
