An important weekend in golf awaits, as the iconic British Masters begins on Thursday at the Belfry in Birmingham. It will mark the final tournament of the Ryder Cup qualification period, and the beginning of the DP World Tour's Back 9.
Translation: it's kind of a big deal. This weekend's field is stacked, and the big-hitters will be jockeying for a spot on Luke Donald's Ryder Cup roster. The host? The legendary Sir Nick Faldo. The course? The epic Brabazon Course at the Belfry in Sutton Coldfield, which is staging the event for the fifth-straight year and seventh time in total. It's the perfect venue for a tournament of this magnitude.
MORE RYDER CUP: Who will win? | Final team projections
While the PGA has its Tour Championship in Atlanta across the pond, the UK will be well-represented in a massive tournament of its own. Matt Fitzpatrick, Aaron Rai, Rasmus Hojgaard and Rasmus Neergaard-Peterson serve as the four favourites, but a whopping 11 players have odds of 25/1 or shorter.
Defending British Masters champion Niklas Norgaard will return after his breakout 2024 win, but his odds have been listed around 30/1 to repeat. Daniel Hillier, the 2023 champ who blitzed through the field in the final round two years ago, sits as a 90/1 long-shot.
Let's have a gander at the betting odds for the 2025 British Masters at the Belfry, then let betting expert Sloan Piva outline his picks and predictions for the DP World Tour event.

British Masters 2025 best bet to win
Odds correct at start of tournament, click links below to bet.
Matt Fitzpatrick (11/1, Paddy Power)
Fitzpatrick has been remarkably consistent over the past three-plus months, ever since finishing T8 at the PGA Championship on May 18. He has five T8 finishes and no missed cuts in his past 10 starts, guided mostly by his strong short game. He's the best overall player in this field (with apologies to Aaron Rai), and it's hard to see too many opponents getting in Fitz's way this weekend.

British Masters 2025 top value bet
Nicolai Hojgaard (25/1, Betfair)
Hojgaard does a lot of things well, including driving for distance, hitting greens in regulation and performing well with the putter. The Denmark native is a birdie machine when he turns on the jets, and he seems like a tremendous value at 25/1. With a T4 at the Scottish Open and a T14 at the Open Championship over his past three starts, Hojgaard has plenty of confidence coming into the Belfry.

British Masters 2025 top long-shot bet
Thirston Lawrence (40/1, AK Bets)
Lawrence has scuffled a bit over the pond, even mentioning during the US Open that he struggles at times to learn new American courses week in and week out. Now he gets to play at a course with which he's quite familiar, having finished as runner-up of the 2024 British Masters. He has four career DP World Tour victories under his belt, and he could easily take this one down if he gets hot at the right time.
British Masters 2025 best bet to finish top 20
Andy Sullivan (2/1, Betfair)
Sullivan was born about a 30-minute train ride from the Belfry, so it's safe to say he knows the Brabazon Course quite well. He's also in solid form of late, finishing in the top 20 in six of his last eight starts. His finishes at the British Masters include a sixth, a ninth, and a 15th, and he led the field for 54 holes in 2023, so 2/1 odds for a top 20 seem pretty generous.
