As they try and avoid stagnation and the possibility of being dragged towards the bottom half of the table, Fulham are get their home campaign underway with the visit of a seemingly improved Manchester United side in the Premier League.

Fulham have had a very quiet summer, but Rodrigo Muniz, linked with a move away throughout the transfer window, pinched the Cottagers a point in a 1-1 draw against Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium last week, courtesy of a stoppage-time equaliser.

They now face a Manchester United side that have spent around £200 million this summer on new attackers, with Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko all arriving, and the Red Devils put in an improved performance as they succumbed to a 1-0 loss at home to Arsenal.

The Sporting News brings you a latest preview and predictions as Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage.

Fulham vs. Man Utd, betting tips and odds

Manchester United have been to the Craven Cottage, played woefully and somehow snatched a win on more than one occasion in recent seasons, but Fulham will be confident of avoiding defeat this time if they can play with their natural fluency.

The two teams appear well matched and evenly coached, so the draw is priced up at 12/5 with Paddy Power, with Fulham 23/10 and Manchester United at 11/10.

Fulham vs. Man Utd team news

  • Fulham will remain without key left-back Antonee Robinson, albeit he is nearing a return to full fitness. Ryan Sessegnon is also a doubt for this weekend, again, though he is also not far from getting back on the pitch.
  • Benjamin Sesko came off the bench on the opening day but it would be no surprise to see him now start for Ruben Amorim. United remain without defensive duo Lisandro Martinez and Noussair Mazraoui.
