NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Against the spread (ATS)
All odds correct at time of publish.
Cincinnati Bengals (-2.5) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (4/6 on BetVictor)
Joe Burrow and the Bengals struggled against the elite pass-rush of Myles Garrett and the Browns last week, but Cincinnati still prevailed. Now Joe Cool and his massive arsenal of pass-catching weapons get a home game against a Jaguars team that's far from where it needs to be defensively.
We scoured the books to find the best odds at -2.5, so that we could win on a field-goal cover. But, honestly, the Bengals should win this game by closer to six points. Burrow should be raring to go for this one, relieved at the sharp contrast in pocket pressure from last week.
SCORE PREDICTION: Bengals 26, Jaguars 20
Other Week 2 spreads worth considering: Rams -5.5 at Titans (10/11); Bills -6.5 at Jets (20/21)
NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Moneyline
Seattle Seahawks (27/20) at Pittsburgh Steelers (Betway)
Newsflash: the Seahawks defence is pretty good. Pro Bowl wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba is also pretty good. And we're not sold on Aaron Rodgers replicating his insanely efficient Week 1 performance against the Jets.
Seattle yields great value as a road underdog here, especially considering everyone in the world seems to be picking Pittsburgh. Do bettors not think Seattle knows how to cover longtime Seahawk receiver D.K. Metcalf? Watch Zach Charbonnet take over as lead back for the away squad and help run the 'hawks past the black and yellow.
FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: Seahawks 23, Steelers 20
Other Week 2 moneylines to consider: Patriots 1/1 at Dolphins; Falcons 33/20 at Vikings
NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Over/under totals
Indianapolis Colts UNDER 20.5 points vs. Denver Broncos (20/23 on Betway)
The Colts looked great against Miami last weekend, but the Dolphins also look like a dejected, aimless team right now. Denver, meanwhile, has one of the best defences in the NFL and just held the Titans to 12 points and 133 total yards in Week 1.
Daniel Jones will be seeing ghosts on the Lucas Oil Stadium field, trying to break free from pressure and chucking the ball into coverage. You don't have to be a time-traveler to see this one going south quickly for Indy. The Colts reaching the 21-point threshold would be downright shocking.
FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: Broncos 23, Colts 17
NFL Week 2 Best Bets: Top player props & game props
CeeDee Lamb, WR, Cowboys vs. Giants: Anytime Touchdown (1/1 on Bet365)
Lamb was very involved in the NFL season-opener against the Eagles, racking up seven catches on 13 targets for 110 yards. However, he had a few costly drops, and Dallas ultimately came up short when he failed to bring in what would have been a highlight-reel catch in field-goal range near the end of the game.
Something tells CeeDee will make up for it this time around, in a home game against a Giants team that still seems quite lost. Dak Prescott almost always enjoys playing against the G-Men — he's 13-2 lifetime against them, with 30 total touchdowns and a 102.4 QB rating — and we all know Lamb is Dak's No. 1 man.
Bijan Robinson, RB, Falcons at Vikings: OVER 25.5 receiving yards (10/11 on Bet365)
Linemakers project Atlanta to lose this game 24-20, so the game script favours Michael Penix Jr. and the Falcons throwing the ball to try to mount a come-from-behind win. With wide receivers Drake London and Darnell Mooney somehow both dealing with shoulder injuries, Bijan could be even more involved than usual.
The stud running back hauled in six catches for 100 yards and a touchdown last week against the Buccaneers. Now we just need 26 receiving yards. That sounds good to us, especially considering 15 of Caleb Williams' 21 completions vs. Minnesota had depths of 0-9 yards (accounting for 99 yards total). Profit off the dink and dunk, because it's coming in this Sunday Night Football game.
