The Travelers Championship turned out to be a wild one, with Keegan Bradley overcoming Tommy Fleetwood on the last hole of the final Signature Event of the 2025 PGA Tour season. Add that dramatic finish to the list of instant-classics we've enjoyed this year. Now we prepare for the Rocket Classic, an annual staple at the beautiful Detroit Golf Club.
It's the seventh edition of the tournament, formerly called the Rocket Mortgage Classic. Cam Davis has won it twice, and another Cam — Cameron Young — has finished T2 and T6 in his two starts in Detroit. And, while we won't see Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy this weekend, we will see Collin Morikawa, Patrick Cantlay and the aforementioned Keegan Bradley.
Morikawa enters as the betting favourite, but we have seen few players atop the pre-tourney odds boards actually prevail with an outright win this season (well, beyond Scheffler). Dozens of players within this 156-player field have a shot at emerging victorious in Motor City, bringing home $1.73 million of the $9.6 million purse. We'll need to pick our spots wisely while preparing our betting slips.
Let's look at the odds for the 2025 Rocket Classic, then make our predictions. We'll detail the best bet, top value wager, and our favourite sleeper bet to win it all, then wrap things up with the best bet to finish in the top 20.

Rocket Classic 2025 best bet to win
Odds correct at time of publish, click links below to bet.
Cameron Young (25/1, Paddy Power)
There's no Scheffler or McIlroy in this one, so look for Cameron Young to go for the victory. He has two T4 finishes over his past three starts, one of which was at the US Open at the difficult Oakmont Country Club. He also has a T2 and a T6 in his first two starts at the Rocket Classic. Young drives the ball with power, putts with efficiency, and, when he's on, hits greens on approach from 200 yards out as good as anyone on TOUR. This seems like great value for a solid outright pick.
Rocket Classic 2025 best value bet
Harry Hall (40/1, AK Bets)
Hall has five straight top-25 results, and he has finished in the top 20 in four of those five starts and the top 10 twice. He's now ranked fourth in the field in putting and sixth in birdie percentage. He's a consistent contender and a very strong pick at 40/1, especially considering the relatively shallow field of competitors. He could very easily win this tournament, but if you want to play it safe you could also bet him 7/2 to place top 10 (also on AK Bets, who consistently offer market-leading prices and the longest odds for most major golf tournaments.)
Rocket Classic 2025 top long-shot bet
Chris Kirk (92/1, Betfair)
Kirk finished T12 at the US Open his last time out, and he's had nearly two full weeks to prepare for this start. He has performed well at the Rocket Classic in the past, registering four finishes of 21st or better over his five trips to Detroit Golf Club. Kirk's around-the-green acumen as well as his solid approach play make him a strong long-shot pick to win outright or finish in the top 20.
Rocket Classic 2025 best bet to place top 20
Rickie Fowler (13/5, Betfair)
Fowler famously birdied the final-round 18th to tie Collin Morikawa and Adam Hadwin at the 2023 Classic, then beat them both on the same hole in the subsequent playoff. In six starts at Detroit Golf Club, he has averaged a top-25 finish. He also has finishes of T16 or better in three of his five starts since May 11 (Truist, Charles Schwab and the Memorial). With less competition in the field than usual at the Rocket, Fowler has a great opportunity to post a top-20 finish.
