With one of the more challenging US Opens in the books, the PGA Tour moves to Cromwell, Connecticut for the Travelers Championship. Located at TPC River Highlands, it's the final Signature Event of the season and the second-most attended PGA event each year. The total purse: $20 million.

The Pete Dye-designed course measures 6,844 yards, so it should present far fewer challenges than Oakmont did last weekend. It will likely be a lot less wet, but it does include a lake on the 16th hole. That's one of four difficult holes closing out the back nine, which could make for yet another dramatic ending.

US OPEN: Relive the final-day drama at Oakmont

The odds-on betting favourites, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, finished +4 and +7 at the US Open, respectively. Yet, somehow, they each finished within the top 20 (with ties). Those numbers won't get it done at TPC River Highlands. Then again, the world No. 1 and 2 might not finish with scores that high again all year.

The 2024 Travelers Championship saw Scheffler finish -22 and beat out Tom Kim in a one-hole playoff. Tom Hoge and Sungjae Im finished T3 with -20. Thirty-one different players shot -10 or better, and a whopping 66 finished the Signature Event under the par 70.

Let's look at the odds for the 2025 Travelers Championship, then make our predictions. We'll detail the best bet, top value wager, and our favourite sleeper bet to win it all, then wrap things up with the best bet to finish in the top 10.

Travelers Championship 2025 best bet to win

Scottie Scheffler (3/1)

Scheffler couldn't conquer a soaked Oakmont course last weekend, but he sure gave it his best shot with a T7 finish. That marks eight straight top-eight finishes since the end of March, three of which were wins. There's no way we can declare anyone else as a better bet than the reigning Travelers champ. He's simply the best.

Travelers Championship 2025 best value bet

Collin Morikawa (18/1, Paddy Power)

Morikawa has quietly been in strong form over the past month and a half, with finishes in the top 23 in three of his past four starts. He finished T17 at the Travelers last year, as his driving accuracy and around-the-green proficiency seem tailor-made for this course. Morikawa could mount a little birdie-fest to kick off the action.

Travelers Championship 2025 top long-shot bet

Cam Young (58/1, Betfair)

If these odds aren't long enough for you, we'll go with Tom Hoge at 125/1 (he finished T3 at this event last year). But Young been in fine form over the past couple weeks — T4 at the Canadian and US Opens — and he finished T9 at last year's Travelers. If the 28-year-old can keep driving and putting the way he has been, he could eat this course up like pizza from his native New York.

Travelers Championship 2025 best bet to place top 10

Viktor Hovland (14/5, AK Bets)

Hovland just finished third at the US Open, maintaining the kind of across-the-board efficiency we've come to expect from him. He's accurate with the driver and even better with his irons and wedges, so he will almost certainly be in the mix this weekend in Cromwell. If he gets his putting on point, he could mess around and win the whole thing.
