Who will be relegated from Premier League 2025/26? Latest odds and betting for relegation from PL image

The new Premier League season is here, and there will be more than a few sides hoping to simply finish 17th this season.

The last two seasons have worryingly seen the three promoted sides go right back down, with the financial gap between the top flight and the Championship seeming to only grow by the year.

Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland will hope to buck that trend, and have all started well this season, with the Black Cats surprising everyone with their exploits.

Of the now-stalwarts of the Premier League, there are several who have lost key players this summer, with Wolves and West Ham both off to horror starts, albeit a change in management for the latter with Nuno Espirito Santo replacing Graham Potter could help them.

The Sporting News brings you all the latest odds and betting for relegation in the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Who will be relegated from the Premier League 2025/26? Latest odds and betting

Unsurprisingly based on recent history, the three promoted sides were the favourites for the drop in 2025/26 from the start.

Burnley have lost James Trafford to Man City but their water-tight defence from last season has been boosted by the shock arrival of Kyle Walker. Scott Parker will hope the England veteran's experience can help, and there has been plenty of money spent elsewhere as the Clarets look to be more like the Sean Dyche vintage, and less like Vincent Kompany's class of 2023/24. That said, an early win against fellow promoted side Sunderland has given hope and they have been very difficult to play against.

The last time Leeds were a newly promoted side, they finished ninth under Marcelo Bielsa, but not even the most optimistic Whites fan would expect that this season. Daniel Farke has been backed in the market, unlike his time with Norwich in the top flight, and Elland Road should be a tough place for anyone to go. Farke has been a lot more pragmatic and Leeds look set to be quite competitive this season.

Sunderland have been the biggest spenders with over £100m going out as Regis Le Bris looks to build a squad capable of competing in the Premier League, which they have done brilliantly so far. Granit Xhaka has been by far the most eye-catching arrival, and will be critical to the Black Cats' hopes of survival.

Brentford have had a very tough summer, with Thomas Frank's departure for Spurs followed by Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard leaving for Manchester United and Arsenal respectively. Rookie manager Keith Andrews has gotten off to an iffy start and will hope things pick up soon, albeit a 3-1 win over Manchester United has been a standout result.

Wolves also lost their star man to Old Trafford, with Matheus Cunha moving on. He was joined in leaving for Manchester by Rayan Ait-Nouri, who joined Man City. Vitor Pereira did a wonderful job upon his arrival midway through last season, but they sit rock bottom having lost their opening five games. There is now major pressure on Pereira, who was sent off against Brighton and Hove Albion in a 1-1 draw before the October international break.

West Ham are an outside bet to go down, with a very disappointing season last year already bleeding into 2025/26. Graham Potter has now been relieved of his duties and replaced by Nuno Espirito Santo, who enhanced his reputation last season by leading Nottingham Forest to a seventh placed finish.

The team that Nuno departed, Nottingham Forest, have now entered into the conversation with his replacement, Ange Postecoglou, having started with a seven-match winless streak across all competitions and there will be concerns as to whether Forest can balance European and domestic commitments throughout the campaign.
