The PGA Tour returns to the U.S. on Thursday when the 3M Open tees off from TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota.
Scottie Scheffler will be taking the week off after cruising to yet another major championship last weekend at The Open, but plenty of star golfers will be in attendance and trying for a better place in the FedExCup standings.
The play-offs start in two weeks, so plenty in the 156-player field will be motivated. Studs competing in Greater Minneapolis this weekend include Sam Burns, Rickie Fowler, Adam Scott, Wyndham Clark and Maverick McNealy.
Scottish Open winner Chris Gotterup opens the week as the top contender, just ahead of Burns. Multiple past 3M Open winners will also be in the mix, including Jhonattan Vegas (2024), Lee Hodges ('23), Tony Finau ('22) and Cam Champ ('21).
TPC Twin Cities, an Arnold Palmer design that measures 7,431 yards and plays to a par of 71, has hosted the 3M Open since 2019. It's a challenging course with loads of water hazards, lots of trees surrounding the bentgrass fairways and greens, and windy conditions.
Our betting slips will target players who have strength and accuracy off the tee, strong approach games, and solid putters.

3M Open 2025 best bet to win
Odds correct at start of tournament, click links below to bet.
Sam Burns (18/1, Betfair)
Burns has been elite off the tee and on the green all year, and he's arguably the best putter in this tournament. A par-4 scoring machine, he has five career wins and he should prove this weekend that he deserved to enter as the odds-on favourite.
Burns just watched his best bud Scottie Scheffler win the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush, and now he will have a chance to follow that up with a win of his own. Win No. 1 of the season finally comes this weekend for the Louisiana native.
3M Open 2025 best value bets
Max Greyserman (38/1, AK Bets)
Greyserman struggled at the Open last week, but he has otherwise looked strong of late. He finished T2 at the Rocket Classic last month, and he was T25 or better at the U.S. Open, the Memorial, and the Charles Schwab. The New Jersey native also finished runner-up at the 2024 3M Open after carding an impeccable final-round 63. He's an amazing value at 38/1.
3M Open 2025 top long-shot bets
Tony Finau (53/1, Betfair)
Finau absolutely loves TPC Twin Cities, which makes sense considering he's a big hitter and a solid putter. He won this tournament in 2022, and he followed that up with a T7 finish and a T12. He's never finished worse than T28, so even betting him to finish in the top 30 seems like fantastic value. 'Big Tone' has made seven straight cuts since the Masters.

3M Open 2025 best bet to finish top 20
Keith Mitchell (9/4, Paddy Power)
Mitchell seems to be flying under the radar a bit, as he has finished in the top 20 in five of his past 10 starts. He also finished T5 at the 2023 3M Open, and his skill set works well with TPC Twin Cities. Look for Mitchell to maneuver himself into the top 20 this weekend, locking in his spot in the FedExCup playoffs.
