Ruben Amorim suffered his first derby defeat at Manchester United boss as the Red Devils lost 3-0 on the road at Manchester City on September 14.
Amorim had secured four points from two meetings with City in his debut 2024/25 campaign including a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium.
However, the tables were turned on their latest trip across Manchester, as Phil Foden slotted Pep Guardiola's hosts into an early lead.
Erling Haaland continued his strong derby record with a second-half double as United offered little in response.
With just one win from their opening four games of the 2025/26 season, Amorim is under renewed pressure, despite heavy backing by the club in the summer transfer window.
The former Sporting CP boss delivered a passionate speech on the Old Trafford pitch on the final day of last season, as he apologised for their UEFA Europa League final loss, and pledged 'the good days are coming'.

The club spent over £250m on new players ahead of Amorim's first full season in charge, but his team continue to look disjointed, with concerns over players taking on board his tactics.

Amorim refused to shy away from questions on his future and admitted it is out of his hands.
"My message to fans: I will do everything. I'm always thinking about what is best for the club.
"Until I'm here, I'll do my best. The rest is not my decision. I'm suffering more than the fans"
With no European football, and an early EFL Cup exit, Amorim's sole focus in the coming weeks will be the Premier League - as he fights for his future in Manchester.
Up next is a home clash with unbeaten Chelsea on September 20.
