Brentford welcome Manchester United to the Gtech Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
Brentford sit 17th with only one win from their opening five games, while United arrive in 11th and buoyed by a morale-boosting 2-1 victory over Chelsea that briefly lifted some of the pressure on boss Ruben Amorim.
United’s challenge has been inconsistencies this season, with Amorim side winning two and losing two in the first five games.
Their performance against Chelsea showed improvements with Bruno Fernandes orchestrating midfield and Casemiro scoring before his red card late in the first half brought an unwanted suspension that rules him out of the Brentford game.
Brentford have been relatively strong at home, where they have defeated Aston Villa and held Chelsea 2-2 in an energetic draw that reminded opponents of their resilience.
The Bees are unbeaten against United in the last three home games and the previous encounter in west London ended in 4-3 win for the hosts. We're backing both teams to score in our match prediction.

Brentford vs. Man United lineups: Starting XI, team news
Edmond-Paris Maghoma is continuing his recovery from a hamstring issue with the midfielder still working on building match fitness before a possible return later this month.
Aside from those absences, manager Keith Andrews has a near full squad to choose from, although he appears to have switched to a 4-2-3-1 set-up.
Nathan Collins and Sepp van den Berg line up at the heart of defence, screened by Jordan Henderson and Yegor Yarmoliuk, with Mikkel Damsgaard pushing further forward. Thiago is flanked by Kevin Schade and Dango Ouattara.
Brentford starting lineup (4-2-3-1, right to left): Kelleher (GK) — Kayode, Collins, Van den Berg, Hickey — Henderson, Yarmoliuk — Ouattara, Damsgaard, Schade — Thiago
Brentford subs: Henry, Pinnock, Jensen, Valdimarsson, Onyeka, Milambo, Ajer, Lewis-Potter, Janelt
Injured: Maghoma (thigh), Fernandes Gomes (thigh)
Suspended: None
United head into the clash against Brentford without the services of Lisandro Martinez, who remains sidelined with a serious knee injury sustained in February, not expected to return until late in 2025 or early 2026.
Diogo Dalot was also a minor concern after a muscular problem ruled him out against Manchester City and Chelsea, but the full-back has been back in training this week and returns to the line-up.
Casemiro is suspended after his red card in last weekend's victory over Chelsea and Ruben Amorim has called Manuel Ugarte to deputise. Amad Diallo will miss the match for bereavement after Amorim confirmed a family member of his passed away.
Matheus Cunha starts alongside ex-Brentford favourite Bryan Mbeumo. Cunha has returned from his hamstring issue and made a substitute appearance against Chelsea without suffering a setback.
In goal, Altay Bayindir retains his place.
Man United starting XI (3-4-2-1, right to left): Bayindir (GK) — De Ligt, Maguire, Shaw — Dalot, Ugarte, Fernandes, Dorgu — Mbeumo, Cunha — Sesko
Man United subs: Mount, Zirkzee, Yoro, Heaton, Heaven, Lammens, Fredricson, Leon, Mainoo
Injured: Martinez (knee)
Suspended: Casemiro
