The UEFA U21 European Championship kicked off June 21 in Georgia and Romania with the final scheduled for July 8 in Batumi.
In total, 16 teams have been battling it out for the title as part of the three-week tournament which is reaching its conclusion.
The tournament has proven to be one of the most tightly contested in recent years with Spain still the favourites to claim another European title.
Defending champions Germany were eliminated in the group stages, with surprise packages Israel and Ukraine reaching the semifinals alongside England and Spain.

Knockout Stages
The single-elimination knockout rounds consist of the quarterfinals, semifinals and final.
Any knockout matches tied after 90 minutes will head to 30 minutes of extra time and a penalty shootout, if necessary, to determine a winner.

UEFA Euro U21 format
A total of 16 nations qualified for the 2023 UEFA European Championship via a qualification tournament held across the last 12 months.
The 16 countries involved were divided into groups A-D via a draw held on October 18, 2022. The top two teams in each group progressed into the quarterfinal knockout round.

The 55 total matches have been split between Georgia and Romania with the former using Tbilisi, Batumi and Kutaisi as its host cities, with Bucharest and Cluj listed for Romania.
