Reports this week revealed that all is not well for Nuno Espirito Santo at Nottingham Forest

There have been tensions between the manager and the owner since Evangelos Marinakis stormed onto the pitch to confront him after a Premier League game last season.

Now Forest has a new sporting director, Edu, who allegedly does not see eye to eye with Nuno.

Nuno then made explosive comments in a press conference that he does not speak with Marinakis as often as last season.

The manager's comments and ongoing friction could lead to his sacking. This could come after Forest plays Crystal Palace today, with crunch talks expected to take place.

Jose Mourinho and Ange Postecoglou have both been linked with the job at the City Ground.

Mourinho and Postecoglou are both Europa League winners, which would make their appointments fit with Forest to embark on a campaign in the competition.

Postecoglou is a free agent after departing Tottenham Hotspur over the summer. It might be difficult to get Mourinho as he is currently the boss of Fenerbahce.

Now, another manager who is employed has been rumoured to be an option for Forest. According to The Sun, "Brendan Rodgers is Nottingham Forest’s top target when they make their move for a new boss."

Rodgers, who is Celtic's manager, left the club before for the Premier League when he became Leicester City's boss back in 2019. He had success with the Foxes, winning the FA Cup.
