Chris Wood scored for Nottingham Forest against FC Midtjylland in the Europa League last night. However, the Tricky Trees ended up losing 3-2.

Not all is well at Forest since Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked, with Ange Postecoglou yet to win any of his six games in charge.

Nuno was instrumental in qualifying Forest for European competition, and Wood was his star striker.

Wood scored 20 goals, with three assists in 36 Premier League games last season, helping Nuno's side finish seventh.

The New Zealander's playing style is more suited to Nuno than Postecoglou. Nuno's former player at Wolves, Adama Traore, has been linked with joining Nuno at West Ham. Wood could also be heading to the London Stadium.

According to TBR Football, "Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to be reunited with Chris Wood at West Ham United."

Would Chris Wood make the move to West Ham United?

Wood has never been afraid to sign for a new club since he came to English football when signing for West Bromwich Albion in 2009.

The striker had loans from West Brom at Barnsley, Brighton and Hove Albion, Birmingham City, Bristol City, Millwall, and Leicester City

He then joined Leicester permanently, but had a loan at Ipswich Town before joining Leeds United. Wood then went to Burnley, followed by Newcastle United, and now Forest.

So if he were to join West Ham, it would be his 13th different club in England. The Hammers have been struggling this season and are currently in a relegation battle.

At the London Stadium, he would be competing with two other strikers who are also in their thirties, Callum Wilson and Niclas Fullkrug
