Mads Hermansen has been heavily criticised after West Ham United conceded eight goals in their opening two Premier League games.
The goalkeeper was rested for last night's League Cup match against Wolverhampton Wanderers, with Alphonse Areola returning between the sticks.
Areola did not seize his opportunity to reclaim his position as West Ham's first-choice goalkeeper. The Hammers lost 3-2 with the Frenchman failing to parry a couple of efforts out of the danger area.
West Ham are desperate to bring in players before the transfer window closes to prevent themselves from being in a relegation battle this season.
talkSPORT has revealed "West Ham have revived a move for Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor."

West Ham will have wished they had signed John Victor instead of Hermansen
The Hammers were close to signing Victor before opting for Hermansen earlier in the window.
Despite this disappointment, the 29-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper is still keen on a move to the Premier League.
Victor starred for Botafogo at the Club World Cup this summer, where they managed a surprise win over PSG in the group stage.
