NFL Week 4 best bets & player props: Rams cool Colts in Los Angeles, Vikings stifle Steelers in Dublin image

Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season turned out to be a rollercoaster, with the Bears trouncing the Cowboys, the Browns stunning the Packers and the Lions upsetting the Ravens in Baltimore. The Vikings also demolished the Bengals, and the Panthers blanked the Falcons 30-0.

All that said, things could have been worse with the Sporting News' best bets column. Our spread picks went 2-1, our player prop bets went a perfect 2-0, and we nailed our featured UNDER — Patriots vs. Steelers (44.5). Just don't ask us about moneylines!

Of course, a bad moneyline week will happen to even the most seasoned sports bettors. This column went 7-2 on best bets in Week 2 — there was no way we were holding on to that kind of momentum for multiple weeks in a row.

The name of the game is consistency, and we're happy if we maintain a season-long winning percentage of .555 or higher. So, let's go back to the drawing board with our favourite moneyline, spread, over/under and player prop wagers.

Like every week, this column scours all the major UK sportsbooks to pinpoint the strongest wagers. Our mission is two-fold:

  1. To help you find the best books with the highest-value odds and top offers.
  2. To help you become a winning bettor, week in and week out.

With another full batch of exciting NFL matches on the docket for this weekend, there has never been a better time to jump into American football betting. So, let's get to it!

Here's our top moneyline, spread, over/under and player prop wagers for Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season. Good luck, have fun, and may the odds be forever in your favour!

NFL Week 4 Best Bets: Against the spread (ATS)

All odds correct at time of publish.

Los Angeles Rams -2.5 vs. Indianapolis Colts (5/6 on Skybet)

The Colts have been one of the early storylines of the 2025 NFL season, with Daniel Jones revitalizing his career and rejuvenating a hungry Indianapolis fanbase. The Rams in LA, though, will be one heck of a tough test in Week 4.

Matthew Stafford nearly led the Rams to an upset over the Super Bowl-champion Eagles in Philadelphia last weekend. The Los Angeles defence looked pretty good, too, and the upset probably would have been cemented if not for the infamous Tush Push.

Los Angeles will be ready for Danny Dimes and Jonathan Taylor. The Rams have surrendered just one rushing touchdown all season and the fifth-fewest total yards in the NFL. Their offence also has the fifth-most total yards in the league, thanks to Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams. LA prevails at home.

SCORE PREDICTION: Rams 26, Colts 23

Other Week 4 spreads worth considering: New York Giants +7.5 vs. Los Angeles Chargers (20/29 on Virgin Bet); Browns +10.5 at Lions (5/6 on Betfair)

NFL Week 4 Best Bets: Moneyline

Minnesota Vikings (8/11) at Pittsburgh Steelers (Dublin) (Betfair)

It's bizarre to see how many people are bullish on the Steelers in this matchup. Pittsburgh just barely got past a mistake-prone New England team, while Minnesota beat the doors off the Bengals. A neutral "home" game in Dublin against this Vikings defense is not great for an aging Aaron Rodgers.

Minnesota looked pretty darn impressive with hometown hero Carson Wentz under center. He finally unlocked tight end T.J. Hockenson, he connected with Justin Jefferson for five catches and 75 yards, and he let Jordan Mason do the rest of the damage on the ground (16 carries, 116 yards, 2 TDs).

And, newsflash: the Steel Curtain is a thing of the past. Pittsburgh's defence has surrendered 143.7 all-purpose yards per game to running backs, and the fifth-most total yards per game (386) in the NFL. The Vikings will be seeing green in Ireland on Sunday.

FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: Vikings 26, Steelers 19

Other Week 4 moneylines to consider: Chicago Bears (10/11) at Las Vegas Raiders (AK Bets); Washington Commanders (10/11) at Atlanta Falcons (Betfair)

NFL Week 4 Best Bets: Over/under totals

Detroit Lions UNDER 27.5 points vs. Cleveland Browns (17/20 on Coral)

The Lions looked amazing in their 38-30 win over the Ravens on Monday Night Football. That kind of road victory has football fans around the globe talking about Detroit being a legit Super Bowl contender once again.

However, let's remember that the last team we got reactionary about, the Packers, just lost 13-10 to the Browns. Cleveland's defence was even more impressive last week than Detroit's offence — and while we have the Lions ultimately winning this game, we don't think they'll be scoring 27 points in the process.

FINAL SCORE PREDICTION: Lions 23, Browns 17

Other Week 4 over/unders to target: Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs: OVER 48.5 (10/11 on Betway); Dallas Cowboys UNDER 20.5 vs. Packers (4/5 on Spreadex)

NFL Week 4 Best Bets: Top player props & game props

Courtland Sutton, WR, Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals: Anytime Touchdown (19/20 on 10bet)

Bo Nix and Courtland Sutton have started gelling again, and now they get a home date with a Bengals defence that just got torched by Justin Jefferson and the Vikings.

Sutton has a nose for the end zone — he has two touchdowns this season and 20 since the start of the 2023 campaign — so watch for the veteran wideout to score on Monday Night Football.

Josh Allen, QB, Buffalo Bills vs. New Orleans Saints (22/25 on Virgin Bet)

The Bills are favored to win this home game by 16 points, so there's really no reason for the reigning MVP to be airing the ball out for 226 passing yards. If you're looking for an OVER, target running back James Cook on the total yards market (still waiting on odds there). However, this UNDER is just as appealing.

Buffalo has won its past two games — vs. Miami and at the Jets — by a combined 30 points. Guess how many passing yards Allen has averaged over those two victories? 180.5. Sorry, NOLA fans, but the Saints just lost by 31 to the Seahawks and a late-September meeting in Orchard Park is a bad place to try to bounce back. The Bills get the easy dub with a little help from Allen's friends.
