Emma Raducanu has been handed a challenging draw for this year's Korea Open despite being seeded for the event.
The 22-year-old British star begins her campaign in Seoul tomorrow (September 16), where she will face the unseeded Romanian, Jaqueline Cristian, in the opening round.
The match in the Korean capital will be Raducanu's first outing on the court since her third round loss to Elena Rybakina at the US Open last month.
While the eighth seed will be heavily favoured to overcome Cristian on Tuesday, the path at the WTA 500 event gets significantly tougher from there.
Should Raducanu make it through to the next round, she could potentially be set for a clash with two-time major winner, Barbora Krejcikova.
If the 2021 US Open champion manages a win there, then she could come up against top seed and six-time Grand Slam winner, Iga Swiatek, in the quarter-finals in Seoul.

Also, Raducanu's half of the draw includes past Australian Open winner Sofia Kenin, and the runner up from this year's Dubai Masters 1000 event, Clara Tauson.
Raducanu is looking to regain her confidence on the court after a disappointing display against Rybakina a few weeks ago.
A positive showing in Seoul from the British no. 1 would ensure she is in solid form for the final WTA 1000 events of 2025 in Beijing and Wuhan, respectively.
