Bill Belichick is reportedly furious over the viral CBS Mornings interview that portrayed his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordan Hudson, in a negative light.
The drama went down when the former NFL coach - now the head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels - appeared on the April 21 episode of "CBS Mornings."
The legendary coach's appearance was intended to focus on his new book, "The Art of Winning: Lessons from My Life in Football," rather than his relationship with the former Bridgewater State cheerleader, whom he met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021.
However, Hudson was thrust into the spotlight when she interrupted CBS reporter Tony Dokoupil during filming to stop Belichick from answering a question about how they met.
"How did you guys meet," Dokoupil asked Belichick, to which Hudson replied, "Not talking about this."
Dokoupil then turned his attention to Hudson, replying, "No?" Hudson then replied sternly, "No."
Belichick didn't interject during the interaction and instead sat quietly, allowing Hudson to handle the situation, which is surprising, as the 24-year-old didn't appear prepared to take part in the video interview, as she was dressed casually in a sweatshirt and sneakers with sunglasses perched on the top of her head.
Sources familiar with the situation told "TMZ Sports" that days before the interview, Belichick was assured by his book publicist that the viral interview would stick to topics related to his new book.
On April 9, Simon & Schuster's senior director of publicity, David Kass, wrote to Belichick, "I can assure you that the conversation [will be] about the book," the outlet reported. "This is a book segment," Kass added, "that looks at your life in football and what people can learn from you to achieve success in their own lives."
The interview, however, did not focus solely on his book. Belichick was asked several questions about his relationship with Robert Kraft and his girlfriend, which, in all fairness, has become a matter of public interest, due to the couple's 48-year age gap and the fact that, up until the interview, Hudson was gushing on social media regularly about her relationship with the former NFL coach.

— CBS Sunday Morning 🌞 (@CBSSunday) April 28, 2025The 73-year-old Tarheels coach has reportedly been left "furious" over the whole debacle.
Prior to the interview, sources say Belichick turned down several other opportunities suggested by his publicist, citing concerns that the media would use the one-on-one sitdowns as an opportunity to delve into his personal life. Belichick only agreed to chat with Tony Dokoupil after Kass wrote to him, "I wouldn't be this insistent if this wasn't so important to book sales and without risk."
Kass reportedly flew to North Carolina in March to encourage Belichick to comply with their marketing strategy, and in the days following the in-person meeting, then assured Belichick in writing that he had talked to a CBS producer about sticking to questions about the book and not going beyond that.
Unfortunately, Belichick didn't get what he thought he signed up for.
