The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders have officially traded their off-season bikinis for their official uniforms. And one of their first public appearances was on stage next to one of the world’s most famous celebrities.

For the Thursday, May 22 Dallas premiere of Mission: Impossible — The Final Reckoning, Tom Cruise and Dallas Cowboy icon Emmitt Smith posed with six of the famous dancers. The crowd at the NorthPark IMAX roared with excitement.

“A casual Thursday night,” quipped cheerleader Madeline Salter on her Instagram post published the next day. “Last night at the Mission Impossible premiere in Dallas,” explained teammate Kennedy Hannan. Cruise, 62, posed for pics with the squad before going down the line to shake each of their hands. He looked sharp in all black.

“Wow! Tom Cruise got to meet the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders!” quipped one mega-fan on Salter’s post. Another Cowboys stan wrote, “Emmitt – you are sooooo lucky to get to meet him!!!”

Hannan’s followers called the night “epic” and “insane,” with one saying, “Glad you get to meet Tom Cruise!”

Salter is a four-year veteran of the squad and originally hails from Oklahoma. She’s been dancing since she was 6 and calls “becoming a DCC” her proudest accomplishment.

Hannan, from Iowa, is in her second year on the team. “My dad is the reason I auditioned for DCC!” she says. “He…is a lifelong fan. When I was a little girl, I was obsessed with the game of football, and the only thing I wanted for my 11th birthday was to go see the Cowboys play. Not only did I get to see the Cowboys beat the Commanders, but I also got to see the DCC perform. From then on, I knew I would accomplish this dream someday.”
