Stephen and Ayesha Curry made a powerful appearance at the first-ever TIME100 Philanthropy Impact event, celebrating the work of their Eat. Learn. Play. Foundation. They launched the organization in 2019 and ever since the non profit has supported Oakland students with meals, learning resources and safe play spaces.
The TIME100 Philanthropy Impact event was held by TIME magazine on Thursday, May 22 and gives a spotlight to global leaders who are using their influence and resources to make positive change in the world.
Steph, 37, and Ayesha, 36, were dressed to impress —with Steph in a relaxed taupe suit and Ayesha in a striking cutout black gown. The couple posed on the red carpet and joined forces with none other than David and Victoria Beckham at the event. David was honored for his longtime charitable work with UNICEF. Ayesha also took the mic during the evening, delivering remarks about the Currys’ mission to uplift the next generation by helping kids.
“Beyond grateful to our entire @eatlearnplay team, all of our donors, partners, and believers for supporting us since 2019,” Steph wrote on his Instagram. “This is a testament to our community and the work that is needed to ensure every child has an opportunity to thrive.”
The impact of the Currys' foundation hasn’t gone unnoticed—especially in their home base of the Bay Area and the East Bay, where fans and families alike have been singing their praises for years.
