As Matthew Stafford returned to his first full-pads practice in weeks, his twin daughters made sure he wasn't forgotten during a big moment in their lives.

The Los Angeles Rams quarterback's 8-year-old twins, Sawyer and Chandler, proudly wore their famous dad's No. 9 jersey number on their first day of school.

On Wednesday, Stafford's wife, Kelly, shared a photo on Instagram of the twins matching fits. The girls wore matching pink shirts with No. 9 on the front paired with white skirts and white and silver Nike sneakers. The NFL player's third graders accessorized their adorable look with Jordan backpacks.

"Kinder, 2nd and (2) 3rd graders. Another school year, but this time with swaggy backpacks/bookbags," Kelly captioned the post, which also included photos of the couple's other two daughters, Hunter, 6, and Tyler, 5, showing off their first day outfits.

The Rams star's youngest girls didn't sport their famous dad's jersey number, but looked equally as cute for their return to school.

Hunter rocked a basic blue two-piece outfit and matching headband, while little Tyler wore a floral dress paired with sparkly pink cowgirl boots and a pink bow in her hair.

Matthew gears up for season as daughters celebrate milestone of their own

This week, Stafford hit a major milestone by returning to practice.

The Rams QB1 has been sidelined with a sore back but re-joined the field on Monday in full pads for the first time this summer, participating in both individual and team drills.

Per the team's website, Stafford is moving in a "positive direction."

"The reality is we're trying to get our hands on this and get him to feel as good as possible," Rams head coach Sean McVay said after Tuesday's practice. "Backs can be a volatile thing. This is definitely positive progress, but what I think you want to be able to do is say, hopefully, after a few minutes, settle down, 'Am I still feeling good? Do I wake up tomorrow, still feeling good?' And those are the steps that I think are the appropriate measures to be able to take. But it certainly is trending in a positive direction for us."
