Nike just dropped the teaser video for the Nike Kobe 4 "CHBL," and it's kinda insane.

First previewed by Vanessa Bryant in early April, the "CHBL" (Chinese High School Basketball League) shoes are about to come your way soon, and Nike is building the anticipation with their new hype video. The teaser comes with the caption: "In China, Kobe isn’t just a name — he’s the fire that fuels a generation of hoopers who never cut corners. He lit the stage for CHBL, the nation’s premier high school league, and set a standard that still echoes on every court: "TOUCH THE LINE."

"It started in 2016, at the Kobe Academy in Shanghai, when during line sprints a player missed the baseline. Kobe stopped everything, made him redo it — and ran the last sprint with him. Inspired by that moment, the Kobe IV Protro “CHBL” is for those who grind in the dark, rise in the light, and earn every single step towards becoming champions."

Decked out in a bright yellow colorway, the silhouette pays tribute to the Chinese School Basketball League, and includes matching yellow laces and a texturized gradient pattern that transitions into a solid white color near the upper heel. The sneaker also features Kobe's infamous "Touch the line" statement he made while calling out (in Kobe style, of course), a young basketball player during a 2016 visit to Shanghai.

A release date for the Nike Kobe 4 "CHBL" is now confirmed for June 1. However, the shoe will only be available in Asian Markets. A retail price of $190 is also now confirmed.
