The Denver Nuggets recently traded Michael Porter Jr. and a 2032 first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets for Cameron Johnson last month. Porter Jr. shared what his teammates said to him as they said their goodbyes, which included an NSFW message from Nikola Jokic.

In a group text message, Jokic told Porter Jr, "Wrap it up out there in NYC," Jokić wrote. "Make sure you wear a condom out there."

While this was the first time Porter Jr. had been involved in a trade since he entered the NBA in 2018, he is still keeping those relationships in Denver alive.

"It was tough saying goodbye to my teammates," Porter said of the July trade, "but that's the nature of the sport. We're going to stay in touch."

Michael Porter Jr. on women as vices

Porter Jr. has been making headlines for speaking on vices. He spoke about how his brother, Jonay Porter, who has been banned from the league for being involved in a sports betting scandal.

On his podcast, "Curious Mike," he talked about how players could take the bait.

“Think about it," he said, speaking on sports gambling and his brother Jontay's struggles. "If you can get all your homies rich by (saying): 'Yo, bet $10,(000) on my under ... this one game I'm (going to) act like I got an injury.' And they all get a (little) bag?... Some people come from nothing and they think like that.”

He then turned it on himself when he revealed that women were his vice.

"My vice has always come in the form of women. And when I’m far from God, and I’m not in my word, l’m not praying, l’m not prioritizing Him, like that seems to be the place that the devil gets me, is in the space of women," Porter Jr. said in a clip.

He also shared why he wouldn't date certain women because of their past.

"There was one girl I really liked… She used to talk to a dude in the league, and I was like I just can’t do it, because if I’m cooking him and he’s allowed to say that's why I hit your girl,” Porter Jr. said in a podcast interview.
