Ken Blaze and Kevin Jairaj

Week 2 of the NFL season was absolutely wild. You had unbelievable games like the Cowboys vs the Giants and the Patriots vs the Dolphins.

With Week 3 around the corner, things become clearer as it relates to fantasy football. One game can be a fluke, but two games are a pattern. We all have a better understanding of how the team views certain players, and now is the time to start acting on it.

It's important not to overreact too much; the season is long, and giving up on guys too early can tank your season. However, holding onto players for too long can do the same thing.

This weekly article will focus solely on Half-PPR rankings, so make sure that's what your league is before you start taking in this information.

With all that being said, here are our Week 3 Half-PPR flex rankings, sleepers and busts, and some advice at each position.

FANTASY LINEUP TIPS: Week 3 Start-Sit | Week 3 Sleepers | Week 3 Busts

Half-PPR flex rankings tips for Week 3

Half-PPR RB lineup advice: Week 3

  • Aaron Jones Sr. has been placed on IR; Jordan Mason will be the lead back, and is a good start.
  • Cam Skattebo was the RB1 in Week 2 for the NYG. It's something to monitor for Tyrone Tracy and his value.

Half-PPR WR lineup advice: Week 3

  • Brian Thomas Jr. is dealing with a wrist injury and is questionable for Sunday. Picking up Dyami Brown could be a great flex play.
  • Carson Wentz is starting for the Minnesota Vikings in Week 3; definitely something to keep track of as it relates to Justin Jefferson and the WR core.

Half-PPR TE lineup advice: Week 3

  • Brock Bowers was not limited in Week 2 but did look uncomfortable at times on the field. You play him if you have him, but something to keep an eye on.
  • If Xavier Worthy does not play, Travis Kelce is surprisingly a must-start in Week 3.

TOP FANTASY PICKUPS: Week 3 waiver wire

Who are the best Half-PPR flex Week 3 sleepers?

Bhayshul Tuten, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Tuten looked solid in Week 2 in his new role. It's supposed to be rainy conditions, so the Jags may need to lean on the run. The Texans have allowed 3 separate RBs to finish RB20 or better in two games.

Romeo Doubs, WR, Green Bay Packers: Everyone thinks it's going to be Matthew Golden as the WR1 for the Packers while Jayden Reed is out. Romeo Doubs is a more trustworthy target for Jordan Love and has seen more volume than Golden up to this point.

Who are the top bust candidates in Half-PPR this week?

Tee Higgins, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: First full game without Joe Burrow, and how Higgins gets used is not clear. When Jake Browning was the starter in 2023. Higgins saw a 7% drop in target share.

Nico Collins, WR, Houston Texans: Until the Texans' offensive line improves, Collins' big-play ability is completely gone. The weather is not supposed to be fantastic either.

Notable fantasy players who will miss Week 3

  • George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers (IR)
  • Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (OUT)
  • Joe Mixon, RB, Houston Texans (NFI-R)
  • Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs (SUSP)
  • Jordan Addison, WR, Minnesota Vikings (SUSP)
  • Brandon Aiyuk, WR, San Francisco 49ers (PUP-R)
  • Tyjae Spears, RB, Tennessee Titans (IR-R)
  • MarShawn Lloyd, RB, Green Bay Packers (IR-R)
  • Jalen McMillan, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (IR-R)
  • Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers (IR)
  • Aaron Jones Sr., Minnesota Vikings (IR)
  • Evan Engram, Denver Broncos (O)
