When does LiAngelo Ball play in NBA Summer League? Stats, highlights and schedule for Hornets forward image

For a second straight year, LiAngelo Ball will be a member of the Hornets' Summer League roster.

The older brother of Hornets All-Star guard LaMelo Ball, LiAngelo Ball's connections with the franchise run deep. Last year, he joined the Hornets for the 2021 Las Vegas Summer League and spent the 2021-22 season with the Greensboro Swarm, the Hornets' G League affiliate.

Over 28 G League games, Ball averaged 4.6 points in 13.2 minutes per contest, scoring a season-high 12 points in a loss to the Lakeland Magic.

While his G League numbers may not jump out at you, Ball did average 9.6 points over five Summer League games in 2021.

The 6-foot-5 forward has a much different game than brothers Lonzo and LaMelo — he looks to carve a lane as a 3-and-D forward at the professional level. Ball might not take on too big of a role for the Hornets this summer, but he is sure to be a major box-office attraction once again.

He's shown to make the most of whatever time he's given.

Here is when Ball could take the court and how you can watch the Hornets this summer.

When does LiAngelo Ball play in NBA Summer League?

The Hornets will only participate in the Las Vegas Summer League, which begins on Thursday, July 7 and runs through Sunday, July 17.

Charlotte gets its schedule underway on July 8 against the Indiana Pacers. For now, uncertainty surrounds Ball's availability, as he was placed in the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols on July 4.

If Ball spends five days in health and safety protocols, he would be eligible to return for Charlotte's second game on July 10.
