While Michigan football's 2024 campaign did not go as planned with an 8-5 record, one of the Wolverines' top players recently expressed excitement for how 2025 will go.

Michigan kicker Dominic Zvada - who was First Team All-Big Ten in 2024 - shared his thoughts on the 2025 Wolverines with Tony Garcia of the Detroit Free Press.

"I'm excited to see what the team does because there's a lot of hype around the community and I think we have a really good team headed into this year," he said. "We're gonna turn a lot of heads. ... Finishing the way we did (last year) was super crucial."

That finish Zvada referred to was three straight wins, two of which were against eventual National Champion Ohio State and Alabama. There certainly could be a lot of momentum to be gleaned from wins like those.

Zvada added that he is not the only player on the team that feels this optimistic.

"We all feel really good," Zvada said. "We're starting on a strong foot and there's a lot momentum going into the season."

Michigan's 2025 team is headlined by newcomers at quarterback and running back. Bryce Underwood, the nation's top recruit in the 2025 class, will likely be under center, while Alabama transfer Justice Haynes is set to anchor a Wolverine backfield that has churned out NFL RBs like Blake Corum, Donovan Edwards, and Kalel Mullings.

It will be head coach Sherrone Moore's second season after taking over for Jim Harbaugh, who left for the Los Angeles Chargers after winning the 2024 National Championship.
