The rumors surrounding the Browns' trading their fifth-round pick, Shedeur Sanders, are intensifying by the day.
Both rookies, Shedeur Sanders and Dillon Gabriel, are fighting to survive in a four-man QB room in Cleveland, where any of the four could possibly get traded before the season starts.
Given Sanders ranks last in the pecking order, the chances of him getting traded are rumored to be the highest.
NFL insider Dov Klieman reported the Browns are likely trading either Dillon Gabriel or Shedeur Sanders before the season starts.
"The Browns will NOT be keeping both Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders past training camp. As of now, Sanders is winning the QB battle, leaving Gabriel as the odd man out. The Colts need a QB. Could one of them be headed there?" Klieman wrote.
Not just the Colts, but the Dolphins, and the Steelers are a few other names floating around for making a trade for Sanders.
But the real questions are: will the Browns trade their rookies, who have been practicing so good so far, and miss a shot at having a potential franchise QB?
Another facet of the whole debate is the Browns' trade either veteran Joe Flacco or Kenny Pickett. Flacco's age makes him the hot target, but Pickett's performance for the Browns this season could change that within a second.
Both seem equally tempting options, but only when they have enough confidence in Sanders and/or Gabriel to handle their offensive leader reins in the future.
Then there is another possibility that Stefanski trades Gabriel. It sounds unlikely because they invested their third-round pick in Gabriel.
Stefanski will likely give Gabriel and Sanders a season before he trades them.
That said, he might consider a trade if he gets a QB ready to lead their offense, since both rookies will take at least a year or two getting there.
