The Ohio State Buckeyes are the top ranked team in the country and enter the bye week with a 3-0 record. Ohio State will face the Washington Huskies after the bye week on the road and Washington has a 2-0 record to start the season.

The Huskies will face the Washington State Cougars this weekend before playing Ohio State. On September 27, the game between Ohio State and Washington will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. The Buckeyes are going to favored to win against the Huskies. However, it will be the first BIG10 Conference game of the season for Ohio State on the road on the west coast. Could this potentially be a trap game for the Buckeyes?

Ohio State Buckeyes Fans Debate If the Washington Huskies Matchup Will Be a Trap Game or Not

Buckeyes defensive coordinator Matt Patricia praised the Huskies offense and quarterback Demond Williams Jr. Patricia mentioned that Williams reminds him a lot of Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. With that being the case, Ohio State fans are wondering if the Washington game is going to be a potential trap game for them.

This will not be an easy game for the Buckeyes to win against the Huskies on the road. Heading to the west coast is difficult for any college football team. Ohio State went to the west coast during the regular season last year and lost a thrilling game against the Oregon Ducks.

The Buckeyes defense will no doubt be tested against Washington. The offense however should be scoring a bunch of points. Quarterback Julian Sayin, running back Bo Jackson, and wide receiver Jeremiah Smith have had a good start to the 2025 season for this football program.

It is not a surprise that this fanbase is concerned about a potential loss on the road in a game that they should win. Ohio State fans will continue to debate if this a trap game for them against Washington or not. All they care about is winning the football game.
