The Oregon Ducks have a top-10 class nationally with a modest 17 commitments.

In terms of "rating per commit," the class is the best in the country.

But with that much top-tier talent, Dan Lanning and his coaching staff are going to have to fight to keep the flock together.

After recently taking back-to-back trips to Miami and Oregon, St. Paul's Episcopal (Alabama) five-star edge-rusher Anthony Jones is again showing his recruitment may not be over.

According to Rivals, Jones is set to make a return trip to Miami this weekend for the Hurricanes' marquee matchup against Florida.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pound edge-rusher is rated the nation's No. 20 overall prospect, the No. 4 edge-rusher and the No. 1 player in the state of Alabama.

Should Jones remain committed to the Ducks, it would mark the second consecutive year Oregon has plucked the top player out of Alabama, joining five-star cornerback Na'eem Offord (2024).

Jones first committed to Oregon on July 31 on the nationally-televised, "The Pat McAfee Show."

He is one of a program-record four composite five-star recruits in the class, joining offensive tackle Immanuel Iheanacho, tight end Kendre Harrison and defensive back Davon Benjamin.

Here's what 247Sports had to say about Jones as a prospect:

"Physically imposing pass rusher in possession of a high octane motor that allows him to generate pressures in both a two or three point stance while operating in an odd front. Already north of 230-pounds as a rising senior, Jones displays a collegiate ready frame in conjunction with an explosive lower half that bodes well for his ability to make an impact sooner rather than later at the next level. Although he’s not the most dynamic mover off the edge, the three-sport athlete makes good use of his ability to attack leverage while demonstrating the ability to win with quickness or power at the point of attack. A polished defender with a sneaky athletic profile, Jones appears more geared to add value as a run defender early in his collegiate career while projecting as a high floor 3-4 OLB that can also add situational pass rush ability off the edge in obvious passing downs."
