Bill Belichick is one of the most accomplished football coaches of all time. He has a resume in the NFL that very few would not trade theirs for. Now, he's embarking on a new journey in college.

He has officially become the latest high-profile coach to join the college ranks as the landscape continues to change. Deion Sanders was one of the first, demonstrating that big names can attract talent in recruiting. Now, UNC is hoping that will happen with Belichick, and one college insider wants to see Belichick do better than Sanders.

FOX Sports insider R.J. Young said, "Belichick is a coach with a once-in-a-lifetime resume, but he is set to take over a program that lacks an identity apart from some success with Mack Brown. He's building an NFL-style coaching staff and hopes to hit the ground running with a roster culled from the transfer portal."

It's only Belichick's first year, but Young argued that that was all it took for Sanders at Colorado. "It took Sanders one year at Colorado to get it right. I dare Bill Belichick to do better," Young said. It's worth mentioning that Sanders began at Jackson State before joining Colorado, but the point remains.

Young also noted how Belichick having college success would put him in the pantheon of all football coaches. There are those obvious figures like Jimmy Johnson, Barry Switzer and Pete Carroll, all of whom were head coaches in the NFL and at the Power 4 level," Young said. "Each won at least one Super Bowl and a national title."

Ultimately, though, Young doesn't think Belichick is currently aiming for that. He's more so trying to build the program, which is like what Sanders did, hence the comparison.
