It was an awkward tackle for Lamb, where his ankle got trapped between the defender's leg and the turf. He was taken into the medical tent and was diagnosed with an ankle injury. Fans were happy to see that he came out and stood on the sideline, missing the next drive but then returning to the game. Lamb ran one route and checked himself out of the game. He shook his head and was hobbled, signaling his day was done.

CeeDee Lamb injury update
After going down in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears, Lamb was listed as questionable to return with the ankle injury. The wide receiver took himself out of the game after trying to play through the injury.

Lamb wasn't expected back after he tried to return to the game and couldn't, but he was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game in the second half.
Lamb was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain. It will all depend on how Lamb heals and if the team doctors let him play if he can bear the pain with the risk of making it worse. It was reported that Lamb will miss at least the next two weeks and could even be looking at IR; it was later announced he won't be placed on the reserve.
The receiver missed the Cowboy's Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers, and on Friday, he was ruled out for Week 5 against the New York Jets.

Lamb was officially ruled out after Schottenheimer's press conference, which means he'll miss his second consecutive game. It was reported that the receiver was expected to miss at least two games, so if the Cowboys get him back, it's hopefully sooner rather than later.
