In a loaded 2024 NFL rookie class, Bo Nix was consistently an afterthought.

His age was a consistent point of contention, but he's younger than Michael Penix Jr. and born in the same year as Jayden Daniels.

Nix's arm and ability to transition from an up-tempo RPO-heavy scheme at Oregon also cast doubt, but by the end of his rookie season, those doubts seemed to vanish. In his first year at the helm, the Broncos' franchise signal-caller tossed 29 touchdowns and led his squad back to the postseason.

Denver looks positioned to be a dark horse contender in the AFC, but one prominent analyst isn't convinced Nix is up to the billing, even comparing him to a recent bust.

On his "What's Wright?" podcast, Nick Wright suggested Bo Nix is on the same trajectory as former Patriots QB Mac Jones.

"In year one, they made a fraudulent Pro Bowl as an alternate," Wright said. "They won ten games, surprisingly, and made the playoffs. They played the Buffalo Bills in round one and lost by four touchdowns."

It's fair to have skepticism around Nix's ceiling, but the parallels to Jones are lazy at best.

Nix was the focal point of Denver's attack and was responsible for more scores than Jones throughout his entire stint in New England.

Whether Nix develops into a top-ten arm is still up in the air, but to dismiss his success entirely and act like his level of play will dramatically fall off with a better supporting cast is baffling.

Even in a gauntlet of a division, Nix and Denver look to be one of the most dangerous teams in the league.
