Few quarterbacks in the NFL know Las Vegas Raiders edge rusher Maxx Crosby like Kansas City Chiefs signal-caller, Patrick Mahomes.
Mahomes and Crosby have squared off on several occasions over the years thanks to the Raiders and Chiefs being in the same division.
While Mahomes and the Chiefs have routinely gotten the better of Las Vegas, Crosby has still notched some sacks against the superstar quarterback.
After facing off versus each other on a regular basis since 2019, when Crosby entered the league, Mahomes is ready to declare Crosby the best pass-rusher he has ever faced.
“To me, (Crosby is) the best pass rusher that I’ve played against," Mahomes said during an appearance on Up & Adams. "No offense to any other pass-rusher, just putting it out there.
"But he is the best one I've been up against because he goes out there and he gives you the effort, he has the moves and he has the skill. And I think it's hard to have all three of those and do that year in and year out."
With eight seasons and several deep playoff runs under his belt, Mahomes has seen no shortage of great pass-rushers during his career, so this is high praise, especially with it coming from a division rival.
There's no doubt Crosby will appreciate Mahomes' statement, but that doesn't mean he's going to take it easy on him when the Chiefs and Raiders first meet in Week 7 this coming season.
