The Los Angeles Chargers are in Las Vegas to take on the Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 2.
The Chargers surprised many by taking down the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1. Of course, much of that win can be attributed to star quarterback Justin Herbert. Herbert threw for 318 yards and three touchdowns in his 2025 debut and allowed the Chargers to get off to a great start.
The Chiefs and Denver Broncos both lost already in Week 2, so with a win on Monday night, the Chargers would be in the driver's seat of the AFC West. So, you'd think Herbert would be in a great mood, right? Well, clearly the quarterback didn't feel like being recorded before kickoff.
As Herbert arrived at Allegiant Stadium and headed to the locker room, the quarterback appeared to give a subtle middle finger to the cameraman.

The quarterback didn't make it obvious, but it's clear what he was going for. Funnily enough, the official NFL X account deleted the video after the middle finger was pointed out.
If Herbert indeed doesn't like the spotlight, he may just be out of luck. The star quarterback is reportedly in a relationship with fellow celebrity Madison Beer, has been featured in several commercials, and is the face of an NFL team in one of the largest media markets in the country.
It's also entirely possible Herbert was just locked in ahead of his game and didn't feel like being on camera. As long as Herbert keeps performing like an elite quarterback, though, people will get over it.
Since entering the league in 2020, Herbert has evolved into one of the most prolific passers in the NFL. Herbert has earned a Pro Bowl nod for his 2021 performance and has thrown for at least 3,800 yards in four separate seasons.
In 2024, Herbert led the Chargers to an 11-6 record while throwing for 3,870 yards with 23 touchdowns and just three interceptions. The quarterback has been more than good enough in the regular season, but playoff success has continued to elude him to this point.
The Chargers could potentially have sole possession of first place in the AFC West heading into Week 3, though, so who knows, maybe 2025 is the season Chargers' fans have been desperately waiting for.
