The preseason curtain is about to drop, and the real show is nearly here. Before roster cuts shake things up next week, the Colts head to Ohio for a final tune-up against the Bengals.

Cincinnati has been firing on all cylinders this August, with Joe Burrow steering the offense to touchdowns on four of five drives — a welcome change for a team often accused of stumbling out of the gates once September rolls around.

The Bengals’ 31-17 win over Washington earlier this week doubled as a showcase of LSU Heisman pedigree, as Burrow and rookie Jayden Daniels went toe-to-toe under the primetime lights.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis is still smarting from a 23-19 loss to Green Bay, a game remembered less for execution and more for officiating drama.

Jason Bean looked to have pulled off late-game heroics with a 31-yard strike to Jelani Woods, but the officials ruled the tight end’s feet weren’t planted inbounds, erasing what could have been the highlight of the preseason. Forced to rely on a fourth-string quarterback in the dying seconds, the Colts saw their comeback hopes vanish into thin air.
