When will Shedeur Sanders be drafted?

During the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft, 32 picks were announced, none of which were Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

As expected, Miami signal caller Cam Ward went first overall to the Tennessee Titans, while the only other quarterback to go on Thursday night was perhaps the most shocking selection when the New York Giants traded back into the first round to select Ole Miss star Jaxson Dart with the 25th pick.

NFL Hall of Famer and Shedeur's father, Deion, posted on Twitter/X, saying Thursday was a lesson for his son and God will guide Shedeur to wherever he was meant to be.

Shedeur spoke at his draft party following the opening round, admitting he didn't expect to fall out of the first round, but says he'll be happy wherever he ends up.

When it comes to where Shedeur may be playing football in 2025 and beyond, it's worth noting that the Cleveland Browns hold picks 33 and 36 in round two, while the Las Vegas Raiders have the 37th selection on Friday night. Both the Browns and Raiders were heavily linked with Shedeur during the pre-draft process.

Rounds two and three of the 2025 NFL Draft kick off on Friday at 7:00 p.m. EST.
