Antonio Brown has the police after him. Miami-Dade County law enforcement have a warrant for his arrest on an attempted murder with a firearm charge, though they have yet to locate and bring him in. This is not the first time Brown's been in legal trouble or had some involvement with the police, but this is the most severe instance yet.
Brown's charge stems from a celebrity boxing event in Miami in May. The former Pittsburgh Steelers star doesn't seem all that fazed by the imminent legal crisis, though. He's been pretty active on social media in the last 24 hours, including a couple of strange X posts that do not seem to come from someone concerned about their freedom.
Antonio Brown drops weird pair of tweets with police on the hunt
The latest NSFW tweet suggests that someone is lying about him, but he's totally unbothered by it. Whatever this supposedly lying person is saying about the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers player doesn't change the truth. Whether or not this is about the arrest warrant remains to be seen, but it's not hard to see a potential connection.
The previous tweet, which is also very much NSFW, is perhaps even more unusual. He made an unsubstantiated claim that he slept with California governor Gavin Newsom's wife, and he's now posted a meme about it. The picture involves his face as well as both the governor and his wife's faces pasted over an image.
This is not the first time Brown has made a claim of this nature. He implied that he had an affair with Tom Brady's ex-wife Giselle Bundchen, a wild implication given how Brady had stepped up for him and helped him get two NFL jobs following his explosive exit from the Steelers.
Brown has exhibited erratic behavior since long before he crashed and burned right out of the NFL entirely. He's gone on numerous social media rants like the above, and he's been in legal trouble over flashing a hotel guest and an issue over some jewelry. Many have claimed that Brown is showcasing symptoms of CTE, and while no official number is out there, it is highly likely that Brown suffered a few concussions during his playing days.
What's next for Brown? He has so far managed to avoid any major consequences for his actions. He remains a public-facing figure that has avoided jail time despite being in trouble with the law a couple of times. However, given the severity of the alleged crime this time, that may not be the case.
