After a long summer of being rumored for a move away, it seems that Iñaki Peña has finally found the answer to his short-term future.

He has been linked to a move to Como and other La Liga sides but he was officially announced as an Elche player this morning.

His move away has now opened the door of possibility for a certain Polish goalkeeper to be registered after missing the first two games.

One In One Out

Peña has moved to Elche on a loan deal that will see him extend his contract with Barcelona for three more years. This gives the club the ability to get his salary off the books and boost the goalkeeper's stock for a future sale.

It now also allows them to attempt to register backup goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny who has missed out on the first two games due to registration issues.

With the registration of the Polish keeper who has been dubbed as 'Tek', Barcelona are only left with two players left to register in Gerard Martin and Roony Bardghji.

When those registrations are able to happen is yet to be seen, but at least now Barcelona have secured their backup goalkeeper for the season and can get a salary off the books.

They may face goalkeeping issues down the line as Ter Stegen will come back from his injury in January and could be looking to take his spot back. Both keepers being registered makes it harder for him to come back, but we saw this summer that the German keeper can still make things difficult for Barcelona.

For now though, it's a win for Barcelona as they are closer to securing their full squad for the rest of the season.
