NYCFC has celebrated its 2021 MLS Cup title long enough, and that means it's time for Major League Soccer clubs to take to the field once more.

The 2022 MLS season will see a total of 28 clubs vying for the title for the first time in league history.

Charlotte FC makes its debut this season, joining the growing list of recent expansion sides which includes Austin FC from last year, and the duo of Inter Miami and Nashville SC the season before.

With 28 teams and 34 matches each, the league will put on nearly 500 matches for the 2022 regular season. Here's how to watch each and every game in the USA, Canada and around the world.

How to watch MLS soccer in USA

  • Dates: February 26, 2022 – October 9, 2022
  • TV channels: ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox, FS1 
  • Spanish-language TV: ESPN Deportes, Fox Deportes, Univision, UniMas
  • Streaming: fuboTV, ESPN+, Twitter

In the United States, MLS games will be spread across several networks for the 2022 season. A complete schedule of games with each broadcast channel assignment is available for easy reference.

MLS matches in English

Disney and Fox share the U.S. English-language broadcast rights for MLS national television coverage. Disney will air matches across ABC, ESPN and ESPN2, while Fox will use its main broadcast network as well as FS1.

Matches that air on those channels can be streamed on fuboTV, which is available to new users on a free trial

All the other matches that are not on national TV are streamed on ESPN+, which carries the out-of-market package of regional broadcasts.

MLS matches in Spanish

Univision and UniMas will air exclusive national TV matches in Spanish.

In addition, the English-language national TV broadcasts are also simulcast in Spanish on ESPN Deportes (for ABC & ESPN matches) or Fox Deportes (for matches on Fox or FS1).

How to watch MLS soccer in Canada

  • Dates: February 26, 2022 – October 9, 2022
  • TV channels: TSN, CTV
  • French-language TV: TVA Sports
  • Streaming: DAZN

A complete schedule of games with each broadcast channel assignment is available for easy reference.

English-language TV & streaming in Canada

TSN will carry all matches played by Toronto FC and Vancouver Whitecaps FC. The network will also televise select CF Montreal matches, as well as additional MLS games between US-based clubs. 

Eight matches will be broadcast to a national audience on CTV.

All other matches not carried by TSN and CTV will be available to stream on DAZN.

French-language TV in Canada

TVA Sports will be the French-language home of MLS in Canada and the network will serve as the main broadcast home for CF Montreal.

Major League Soccer isn't just for those in the United States and Canada. Fans around the globe will be able to watch the league all season long.
