The wait for the UEFA Europa League has finally come to an end as Europe's second most prestigious competition is back for its 55th edition.

Last season, Tottenham lifted the trophy after beating Manchester United in a thrilling final in Bilbao. That win marked Spurs’ first major silverware since their League Cup victory in 2008, also promoting them to the UEFA Champions League.

Heading into the 2025/26 season, the Europa League will feature 36 clubs this season, coming from across Europe to battle for the silver glory.

Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest are the two teams from the Premier League to earn their spots in the 2025/26 Europa League. Unai Emery's Villa qualified as the sixth-placed team, whereas Forest are arriving after Crystal Palace's demotion to the Conference League.

With Spurs not defending their title this season, the wide gap for the trophy will be filled by one of those 36 clubs. The 2025/26 season appears to be promising and competitive, poised to provide complete football entertainment for fans worldwide.

The Sporting News looks at the key fixture details and how to follow the matches.
