Carlos Alcaraz regained the US Open title and the World No. 1 ranking with a four-set victory over rival Jannik Sinner on Sunday evening.
The Spaniard quelled a second-set fightback from Sinner to power to a 6-2, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 win in two hours and 42 minutes. At 22, Alcaraz is now the youngest man after Bjorn Borg to win six grand slam titles.
Alcaraz's latest triumph also means an even split between him and Sinner for this year's majors. While the Spaniard captured the French and US Open, the Italian won the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

When is Carlos Alcaraz's next match at US Open 2025?
Carlos Alcaraz won his sixth career grand slam title by claiming the US Open 2025. The Australian Open is the only major he hasn't won yet, but declared, on Sunday, that winning the career grand slam was now his main target.
"It's my first goal, to be honest. When I just go to the preseason to (see) what I want to improve, what I want to achieve, Australian Open is there," Alcaraz said in the post-match press conference.
"It's the first or second tournament of the year, and it is always the main goal for me to complete a Career Grand Slam, Calendar Grand Slam. So it's going to be great."
