It’s a box-office battle brewing on the grass courts of Wimbledon as top seed Aryna Sabalenka squares off against British crowd favorite Emma Raducanu in a blockbuster third-round showdown.
The winner won’t have much time to catch their breath, with a potential fourth-round clash looming against either 14th seed Elina Svitolina or the crafty 24th seed Elise Mertens.
Sabalenka has been tearing up the tour in 2025, racking up 44 wins in 52 matches and stuffing her trophy cabinet with three titles—including WTA 1000 triumphs in Miami and Madrid. The World No. 1 has also come heartbreakingly close to Grand Slam glory, finishing runner-up at both the Australian Open and Roland Garros.

Raducanu, meanwhile, is looking to recapture some of her magic under the Wimbledon sun. The 22-year-old has had a patchy 2025 season with 18 wins from 31 matches, but did make headlines with a quarterfinal run in Miami. She touched down in London following an early exit at the Eastbourne Open, but home soil might just be the spark she needs to flip the script.
