West Des Moines Valley senior-to-be Jayden McGregory will get his college commitment over and done with before embarking on his final high school season.

McGregory, one of the top prospects in the Class of 2026, has announced he will make his decision on Monday, July 7. The Tiger multi-sport standout will be deciding between Minnesota, Louisville and Missouri.

Most believe Minnesota is the team to beat to acquire the services of McGregory, who 247Sports ranks as the No. 3 player in the state of Iowa. The 6-foot-2, 195-pounder is considered an athlete, as he shines on both sides of the ball for Valley.

Last year, McGregory caught 19 passes for 173 yards and a touchdown, adding 65 yards rushing on just four carries. He made 13.5 tackles with three interceptions on defense while averaging 19 yards per punt return with another score.

McGregory narrowed down his college choices to four teams, as Kansas was the one who has since been axed. Along with helping Valley reach the Class 5A state football title game last year, he was part of the basketball team that won a third straight 4A crown during the winter.

Along with holding offers from Minnesota, Louisville, Missouri and Kansas, McGregory had serious interest from the likes of Florida State, Georgia, Iowa State, Michigan, Iowa and Tennessee.
